Rosemont College seeks a dynamic, inclusive servant leader to serve as its 14th President and invites nominations for and expressions of interest in the position. The successful candidate will succeed Dr. Sharon L. Hirsh, who will retire in May 2020 following 14 years of distinguished service to the College. The next President will possess a deep commitment to Rosemont’s mission and small, close-knit community culture.

Rosemont College was founded in 1921 by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus (SHCJ). From the institution’s early days through the present, the SHCJ Foundress, Cornelia Connelly has been a driving force behind Rosemont’s charge to educate students “to meet the wants of the age,” which has been an integral part of the growth of the College. Rooted in Catholicism, Rosemont welcomes all faiths and is guided by the principles of Cornelia Connelly and the Society of the Holy Child Jesus to meet the needs of the time.

The College is known for its excellent academic reputation and its focus on developing the intellectual, spiritual, physical, and emotional well-being of each student. Over the years Rosemont has evolved to “meet the wants of the age,” by developing as one college with three schools: the Undergraduate College, the School of Graduate Studies, and the School of Professional Studies.

Rosemont is situated on 58 acres in the historic residential neighborhood of Rosemont, Pennsylvania, 11 miles west of Philadelphia on the suburban Main Line.

Evaluation of candidate materials will begin immediately and continue until a new president is named. The expected start date for this opportunity is June 1, 2020.
